The following resolution was adopted on 2005-09-26 by unanimous vote of
the seven member Board of the Humanist Fellowship of North Texas (HFNT):
WHEREAS Religious Humanists affirm the equality of all
people; and
WHEREAS the State of Texas is attempting to use a
constitutional amendment (Proposition 2) to prevent
same-sex couples from protecting their families and
being recognized as couples;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of the
Humanist Fellowship of North Texas does hereby endorse
the defeat of any political action at any level to
prohibit or control marriages made between consenting
adults.
