Minutes of the Humanist Church of North Texas
Business Meeting

The business meeting of the Humanist Church of North Texas (HCNT) was
held on Wednesday, July 9th, 2003, at 15:30, in Bedford, Texas, a quorum
being present.

Shannon Woody was appointed interim Chair and David Croft was appointed
interim Secretary.

By acclamation, the following were elected as officers of the HCNT:
Chair.......: Shannon Woody
Treasurer...: Cynthia Keaton
Secretary...: David Croft

David Croft moved the adoption of the following requirements for voting
membership:
1. Legal voting age.
2. Sign the Humanist Manifesto III.
3. Step forward before the body of the church.
The resolution was tabled.

Cynthia Keaton moved to permit the HCNT to conduct business via the
Internet. The resolution was adopted.

Cynthia Keaton moved to create an administrative electronic mailing list
where posting would be limited to HCNT officers but messages would be
publicly archived. The resolution was adopted.

The meeting was adjourned.
